Each rests on a scrolling tripod-style brass base with rounded ball feet and retains its substantial blackened iron log support and decorative rear finial.

The unusually tall proportions give this pair a strong architectural presence, making them well suited to a large fireplace, historic interior, or decorative hearth display. Likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, with styling inspired by earlier Baroque and Colonial designs.

The brass retains a rich, naturally aged finish with oxidation, darkening, spotting, scratches, verdigris, and general surface wear. The iron components show oxidation and rust consistent with age and fireplace use. They have not been polished or restored, allowing the buyer to preserve the existing patina or polish them if desired.
