The Kaye campaign-style flip-top desk from Theodore Alexander combines classic brass campaign hardware with a rich leather writing surface that folds open for a full work area. A handsome, well-built piece from a respected furniture house — original retail runs $3,500+. This desk has visible cosmetic damage (see photos and condition notes below) and is priced accordingly. The flip-top mechanism works perfectly, and since the desk was rarely opened, the interior and leather writing surface are in like-new condition. A great option for someone who wants Theodore Alexander quality at a fraction of new cost and doesn't mind some exterior character.

Structurally sound, flip-top mechanism works perfectly, interior and leather writing surface are like-new (rarely opened). Exterior damage: Tabletop: A small chip/gouge on the top surface exposing lighter wood underneath, plus scattered fine surface scratches visible under direct light. Flip-top seam area: Additional light surface scratches and small marks across both halves of the top. Back apron/edge (near one corner): Chipped and flaking finish along the edge, exposing raw wood in a few spots. Leg: Chipped and flaking finish running down the bottom portion of the leg to the foot, exposing lighter wood underneath in multiple spots. Stretcher/base rail: Worn finish with a rubbed, lighter patch and a few small nicks along the top edge. Close-up photos of every area above are included in the listing.
