Substantial in both scale and … Read more We are very pleased to offer this striking vintage brass centerpiece bowl, circa Mid-20th Century. Substantial in both scale and presence, the piece features a dramatic scalloped form with deeply modeled, fluted sides and a softly undulating rim. Raised on four elegant scrolling feet with foliate mounts, the bowl is further embellished with sculptural floral, and leaf-form handles at either end. The hand-worked brass surface displays a beautifully aged, warm patina with natural variations, oxidation, and traces of its history throughout. Its generous proportions and low, architectural silhouette make it particularly striking as a dining table centerpiece, filled or displayed simply as a sculptural object.
