The piece also … Read more Beautiful antique, Venetian early Murano hand blown sapphire blue, with gold flecks, Italian art glass flower vase. The piece also has a crimped ruffled rim, with gold leaf rigaree collar, and twisted handles. There is a heavy layer of gold leaf throughout the body and applied foot. Hard to see on the main photo, but the gold is there if you look at the detail images. The photos do not do justice to just how much gold it has (see last photos in the black background). The vase has unusual twisted glass handles, also with gold. The entire piece is created with a ribbed body design, and It has gorgeous rich saturated blue color spots. There are some stray green spots that you can see in the body, and closeup photo of the applied base. Created in the manner of the Salviati and Fratelli Toso companies, late 1890s - 1900s. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, desk, or curio cabinet. Fill it with one to 2 fresh flowers at your desk, or just showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Late Victorian, Art Nouveau era. Measures 6 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" across the handles x 3" wide at the body.
