A beautifully designed vintage bar cabinet by Mastercraft, retaining its original maker’s label. Compact when closed yet surprisingly substantial when opened, this piece expands from just 30 inches wide to an impressive 60-inch serving surface, making it especially useful for entertaining without demanding permanent floor space.
The cabinet combines richly figured burl wood veneers with darker contrasting wood tones and sculptural brass-finished side supports. The looping brass framework gives the piece a distinctly glamorous profile, while decorative brass drawer pulls, paneled cabinet doors, and original casters add to its classic Mastercraft character.
The hinged top opens outward on both sides to create a generous bar or serving surface. Below, a wide drawer provides storage for bar accessories, while the double-door cabinet offers additional interior storage and shelving. When not in use, the top folds back into a remarkably compact cabinet.
Dating approximately to the late 20th century, the design reflects the Hollywood Regency and Neoclassical influences frequently associated with Mastercraft furniture of the period. Its combination of burl wood and brass makes it equally suited for a formal dining room, cocktail lounge, library, or living room.
A particularly versatile Mastercraft piece that delivers considerably more presence and functionality than its compact closed dimensions suggest.

The wood surfaces show scattered minor scratches, marks, finish variation, and small imperfections. Brass elements display attractive age-related patina and oxidation. There is a small repaired area along a rear corner of the top, which is structurally secure and has been cosmetically blended. Casters, hinged top, drawer, and cabinet doors remain functional.
