The coat Clock is a miniature architecture. Graves combines constructive and decorative details of classic architecture in a functional object for the interior. On a pedestal plate, the housing with the clockwork is raised to four conically acidic columns. The classic pillars with chapters, the bow, the horizontal joints are elements that are borrowed the traditional architecture and are interpreted or quoted here. A gold shiny pendulum moves between the black pillars. The black of the columns repeats itself in the upper end of the lid. The lid can be removed to get to the movement. Inside the lid there is the Alessi and Graves engraving. Due to their complexity, these watches were manufactured by hand. The coat Clock was produced only until 1999 and is now rare.
