Originally designed for serving carved meats, the raised branching channels direct juices toward the recessed well at one end of the platter. Its elaborate Rococo Revival-style border and substantial 18-inch scale also make it a beautiful decorative serving piece for a holiday table, buffet, or sideboard.

The platter is unmarked, and the maker is unknown.

In good vintage condition with surface and utensil scratches consistent with age and previous use. The silverplate retains a bright, highly reflective finish. Please review photographs closely for condition.
