A lovely pair of vintage white ceramic Foo Dogs (Chinese Guardian Lions). Produced in the mid 20th century. Featuring a striking, glossy Blanc de Chine style finish, this traditional set includes both the male lion (resting his paw on an embroidered ball) and the female lion (interacting with a cub).
These have a wonderful whimsical quality. Their faces appear quite joyful and the baby seems to be frolicking alongside its mother. Perfect for styling a bookshelf, mantel, or entry table, these figures effortlessly complement Hollywood Regency, grandmillennial, and traditional interior decor styles.
