At just 23 inches high with an 11.5-inch seat height, the chair is a genuine piece of period child-size furniture with the distinctive character of early twentieth-century ice cream parlour and soda-fountain seating.

The openwork back is particularly expressive, combining large symmetrical looped forms with a central elongated scroll and twisted wire detailing. Slender legs terminate in curled feet and are joined by decorative wire stretchers, creating a light, highly graphic silhouette.
