The heavy crystal body is richly cut in an intricate geometric pattern of diamonds and rounded lens motifs, creating wonderful brilliance and texture. A wide silver-plated collar is embellished with raised scrolling foliate decoration and delicate beaded borders. Particularly striking are the sculptural handle mounts, with deeply modeled acanthus leaves and curled scroll details supporting the swing handle.

The original removable silver-plated drainer features an unusual decorative arrangement of graduated circular and elongated piercings, allowing melted ice to collect beneath.

Beautifully aged patina remains within the recessed metalwork, emphasizing the relief decoration and giving the piece depth and character. An especially handsome example of early 20th-century luxury barware equally suited to a traditional, Regency, Hollywood Regency or collected eclectic interior.
We love this piece used as a flower vase as well - the drainer makes a perfect flower frog to secure the stems.
