This is a Hollywood Regency or Italian Neoclassical side chair or dining chair. Made by Palladio. Great classic details of flowers and wreaths with ribbon embellishments. Klismos (Greek) chair shape with tapered legs. Mid-century chair that originally was gilt but has been painted over with antique white gloss paint. Great color to the older paint with some of the original gold gilt showing through in places - see pics. Would work as a vanity or desk chair. Solid sturdy metal. Original purple maroon velvet on seat in good condition. Unmarked.
