PLEASE NOTE: band is more of an aqua color than shown in the photo.

The plate is finished with the distinctive green (actual color of band more aqua) around the rim, a harder-to-find variation of the discontinued Birds of Britain collection.

Designed by celebrated British ceramic designer Susan Williams-Ellis, founder of Portmeirion Pottery, the Birds of Britain series combines detailed natural-history illustrations with classic English tableware design. Crafted in England, these discontinued pieces have become particularly appealing to collectors, especially the less commonly found green-band examples.

Measuring 7¼” diameter, this bread and butter plate is equally appealing for serving or display. Its botanical bird motif works beautifully in English country, cottage, coastal, rustic, traditional, and collected interiors.
