PLEASE NOTE: band is more of an aqua color than shown in the photo.

The plate is finished with the green band around the rim, a harder-to-find variation of the discontinued Birds of Britain collection.

Designed by celebrated British ceramic designer Susan Williams-Ellis, founder of Portmeirion Pottery, the Birds of Britain series reflects her wonderful use of detailed natural-history imagery translated into distinctive English tableware. Crafted in England, these discontinued pieces have become increasingly collectible, particularly the less commonly found green-band examples.

Measuring approximately 7¼” diameter, this smaller plate was produced as a bread and butter plate and is equally appealing for serving, display, or adding to an existing collection. Its English naturalist imagery works beautifully in English country, cottage, coastal, traditional, rustic, and collected interiors.
