Designed … Read more A highly collectible vintage Portmeirion Birds of Britain dinner plate featuring the Wood Duck (Anas Sponsa) with her ducklings. Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and crafted in England, the plate features the original green band rim, an earlier and increasingly difficult-to-find version of the Birds of Britain collection.

The detailed ornithological illustration is beautifully rendered against the crisp white ground and framed by the distinctive muted green border. The Birds of Britain series was introduced in the 1970s and is now discontinued.

Its timeless naturalist imagery makes it especially well suited to coastal, cottage, rustic, English country, traditional, and collected interiors, whether displayed decoratively or incorporated into a layered table setting.
