- The dome is constructed from a heavy, decorative cast metal framework with a rich antique brass or patinated bronze finish.
- Glass Inlays: The body of the shade features oversized, bulbous Favrile-style art glass tiles known as turtleback tiles. The glass exhibits a deep, iridescent quality with a dark base color that transitions between shades of deep green, purple, and charcoal black depending on the light angle. The exterior surface of the tiles is highly polished and contoured to catch and refract ambient light.
- Glass Underbelly Texture: The underside reveals the raw, mottled and bumpy texture of the thick molded turtleback glass, which differs greatly from the highly polished exterior.
