The square cream-glazed platter is divided into four generous serving compartments surrounding a round center well. Raised clusters of grapes, pears, fruit and leaves trace the dividers and perimeter, while a sculptural scrolling border gives the entire piece an almost architectural finish.

At 13 inches square, it has wonderful presence on a holiday table and is particularly well suited to entertaining—fill the outer compartments with crudités, crackers, nuts or other small bites and reserve the center for olives, dip or condiments. When not in use, the deeply modeled fruit decoration makes it decorative enough to display.

The underside is marked 1961, corresponding with the model number found on other examples attributed to Lefton’s Della Robbia line. Because this example retains no visible maker’s label or printed backstamp, it is conservatively attributed to Lefton rather than definitively identified. Circa 1950s–1960s

Measures approximately 1” tall, 13” wide and 13” deep.

In very good vintage condition with no chips. A few rough spots are present along the edge and reverse from years of use, along with minor age-related marks. See less
