The clock dates to the early 1940’s or late 1930’s. It is mystery clock. It has two disks inside with hands affixed to the plates that rotate. There is an outside disc on front with the numbers stenciled on. There is a protective glass attached to the back. 4 plates in all held in place by the chrome frame. The synchron motor in the base moves the gears that rotate the two plates. The clock runs and it keeps good time. Marked on the base. The last photo shows an ad from a 1942 issue of Popular Mechanics featuring the clock. It’s is from the website of Roger Rusell, who has a wonderful descriptive section of these clocks. This version is in the rarer brass finish. We’ve had a few of these and they are mostly finished in chrome. The case has marks to it and there is some minor losses to the numbers, which are pictured in detail. See less
