Set of 5 (5) vintage Rainbow Stoneware dinner plates in the Citron pattern, made in Japan.
These substantial, heavy stoneware plates have a wonderfully earthy retro look with a speckled cream center surrounded by a wide citron mustard yellow border. Dark brown edging and a reactive-style brown inner rim add depth and contrast to the simple design. The warm ochre and brown palette is especially characteristic of 1970s tableware and works beautifully with other vintage stoneware.
The underside is marked Rainbow Stoneware, 659 Citron, Japan. The plates are marked dishwasher, microwave and oven safe.
