Pink, cream, muted … Read more Vintage decorative needlepoint bell pull featuring an elegant repeating floral design worked against a soft gray ground. Pink, cream, muted rose and green flowers are accented by scrolling golden foliate motifs, creating a beautifully traditional European-inspired look.

The long, narrow textile is finished at both ends with substantial ornate gold-tone metal hardware featuring dimensional grape clusters, grape leaves and decorative circular rings. The elaborate hardware gives the piece wonderful architectural presence and makes it especially attractive displayed vertically on a narrow wall, beside a doorway, between windows, or as part of a collected traditional interior.

The needlework appears to date to approximately the mid-to-late 20th century. No maker’s mark has been identified, and the exact maker and country of manufacture are unknown.

Two of the original small ball-style end finials were missing when acquired. For a consistent appearance, all four small end finials were replaced with a matching set. The primary decorative grape-and-leaf hardware and hanging components appear consistent with the piece.
