There is something wonderfully knowing about this poodle’s expression. I particularly like the contrast between the beautifully groomed, rather aristocratic subject and the warmth of the old wood frame. I can picture it in a library among sporting prints, in a country house filled with antiques, or as an unexpected bit of personality in a more contemporary space. He’ll sit, stay, and hold his own in any room.
