Stunning Plaisant Mainten table clock designed by Nathalie du Pasquier in 1983. It is a rare, iconic piece from the "Objects for the Electronic Age" collection produced by ARC 74. This clock features a distinctive structural pedestal body, finished with a classic speckled grey and light grey postmodern laminate motif. Constructed from custom decorative melamine/plastic laminates and architectural metal elements.
"Objects for the Electronic Age" is a famous 1983–1984 post-modern design project by Memphis Group designers George Sowden and Nathalie du Pasquier. The series explored how electronic design frees objects from mechanical constraints, turning functional items into vibrant, decorative sculptures using plastic laminates, enameled steel, and painted wood.
