This stunning vintage crystal chandelier dates from the middle of the twentieth century and would properly be called 1940s Hollywood … Read more This stunning vintage crystal chandelier dates from the middle of the twentieth century and would properly be called 1940s Hollywood Regency, but its look is very much in tune with the Art Nouveau style from the 1910s. It features hammered brushed brass that is cut and shaped into leaves and flowers, along with brass swags dripping with lead glass crystals that look like fringe. Each of the six larger metal swags carries 12 strands consisting of chains of 4 octagonal-shaped lead glass crystals each. The center column has four tiers with six sides, each holding three more chains of 4 octagon crystals. Each of the six lighting arms is accentuated with a drop crystal set on the end and holds a candelabra base light bulb. In all, this beautiful chandelier carries 588 sparkling lead glass crystals. The brass has lovely bronze patina with lots of rough-hewn character marks that give it a slightly-worn vintage look. The canopy matches the patina and has interesting unusual cutouts in the metal near the ceiling. All of the crystals shimmer with the look of fine vintage lead glass.

The chandelier measures 18 inches in diameter at the bottom. The center column is 5 inches in diameter. It is 25 1/2 inches from the top of the ceiling canopy to the bottom finial. It uses six candelabra base bulbs. The chandelier comes with all of the hardware necessary for hanging it from a standard ceiling electrical box, along with six light bulbs. Some of the crystals will be wrapped separately to assure safe shipping, but will be sent with their hooks and are easily rehung. See less
