Here is a set of six vintage Rörstrand Ostindia (East Indies) porcelain charger plates made in Sweden during the mid-20th century. Featuring the beloved blue floral transferware motif on a soft pale blue porcelain ground, framed by an elegant scrolling border and warm ochre rim, these generously sized chargers bring timeless Scandinavian design to the table.
Originally introduced by Rörstrand in 1932, the Ostindia pattern was inspired by 18th-century porcelain recovered from a Swedish East India Company shipwreck. Its understated blue transfer decoration has remained one of Sweden's most celebrated and enduring china patterns for generations.
