The sculptural composition depicts an eighteenth-century gentleman holding a rose beside an ornate floral vessel. A removable clear glass trumpet rises from a pierced gilt-metal collar and displays spiral-cut detailing, etched foliate decoration, and a scalloped rim. The patinated spelter figure rests upon an elaborate scroll-form base accented by botanical reliefs and contrasting gilt-metal elements. It is in good condition; visible and minimal wear from usage.
