The heavy sculptural bowl features an organic six-point star or starfish form with deeply sculpted contours, emerald green outer casing, aquamarine blue interior layer, thick crystal-clear transitions, a free-formed ruffled rim, and a polished base. The design reflects Mid Century Modern, Organic Modern, Modern styles.

Constructed using the sommerso ("submerged") technique, the dramatic colour layering and sculptural profile exemplify the organic forms associated with Murano art glass during the period.
