Vintage oak expandable dry bar by Henredon, made in North Carolina c. late 1970s. Characteristic of campaign furniture, which was designed to suit the needs of traveling armies in centuries prior, the doors feature recessed brass hardware, a technique that allowed pieces to pack together without damaging the handles.
The top unfolds to reveal a black melamine serving area, doubling the usable surface width. Wooden supports deploy from the left and right sides allowing the expanded top to bear considerable weight. Cabinet doors below conceal two compartments with adjustable shelves and a drawer for additional storage.
Overall the piece remains in excellent vintage condition, showing age-appropriate wear on close inspection. Touchups and small fixes were performed prior to photography. Additional photos available on request.
