The pitcher is 13.5" tall … Read more This exceptional large example of Crown Devon Fielding pitcher and wash bowl is absolutely stunning! The pitcher is 13.5" tall x 9.50" wide, handle to base. The diameter of the base is 8". the generous bowl Is 16" wide x 5.50" tall. The decoration on this piece is so romantic and delicate. Lucious pink cabbage roses, pink ribbon and green garland strewn, with gold piping accents. It is a magnificent sight to behold, it commands the room. This piece is dated from 1890-1909, respectively. Crown Devon was manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, at the Sutherland Street Railway Works/Devon Pottery site, from the 1870s until the late 1980s. It's beautiful designs and functionality was exceptional. This piece is in wonderful condition for it's age. Both gold piping and rose embellishments are in very good condition, with minor wear. There is a small "flea bite" on the rim of pitcher, very hard to notice. Does not affect the beauty of this masterpiece. There is expected crazing which in white areas, which is hard to see. Purchased at an estate sale many years ago. See less
