Bring a touch of early Victorian English tableware to your collection with this beautiful set of seven antique ironstone dessert plates attributed to Edward Walley of Staffordshire, England, and produced between 1845 and 1856. Each plate features the sought-after Chelsea Grape (also known as Chelsea Sprig) pattern, distinguished by raised molded grape clusters and scrolling vines accented in rich coppery-purple luster.
The elegant 12-sided (dodecagonal) panel rim is characteristic of mid-19th century English ironstone, giving these plates both architectural interest and timeless appeal. Their creamy white body and delicate embossed decoration make them equally beautiful for display, entertaining, or as part of a larger Victorian ironstone collection.
