RARE VINTAGE ELGIN MECHANICAL DESK ALARM CLOCK – MADE IN GERMANY
Up for sale is a beautiful, well preserved, fully functional mid-century, Elgin mechanical desk clock in excellent pre-owned condition.
This stunning "Hollywood Regency" style time peace features an elegant, iridescent, mother-of-pearl dial accented by classic Roman numerals and delicate gold filagree detailing.
CONDITION & FUNCTION:
• Fully Working: The mechanical wind up movement ticks smoothly, and keeps great time.
• Loud Alarm: The internal bell alarm rings strongly and shuts off perfectly using the rear silencer button.
• Solid Brass Elements: The top fob handle and lower peg feet are solid brass (tested and verified non-magnetic) and have been gently cleaned to restore their brilliant vintage shine.
• Cosmetics: Vibrant coral – red border enamel with very minor surface aging consistent with its 1960s heritage. No cracks or deep scratches on the clear front lens.
