This striking 7-inch faceted teardrop obelisk sculpture is attributed to the renowned Murano workshop of Alessandro Mandruzzato, circa 1960s/1970s.
​Expertly executed using the complex Sommerso (submerged) casing technique, the piece features a rich cobalt blue core suspended perfectly inside a vibrant emerald green layer, all encased within a warm amber-to-clear outer layer. The block is then meticulously cold-cut with sharp, diamond-shaped geometric facets that catch and refract natural light beautifully from every angle.
​With its substantial weight and sharp geometric form, this solid glass sculpture makes a dramatic modernist statement piece for a desk, bookcase, or working gallery display.

​Excellent vintage condition. The glass is remarkably clear, displaying bright, vivid coloration. No major chips or deep cracks. As is typical with authentic, heavy-gauge vintage art glass of this era, the flat-ground base shows light, age-appropriate shelf wear.
