The sculptural bamboo-form frames are finished in a rich warm brown with intricate geometric fretwork and beautifully hand-painted lacquer panels depicting delicate flowering branches on the backs.
Each chair retains its luxurious custom-made silk cushions with subtle embroidered detailing. The cushions are generously down filled for exceptional comfort and secure neatly with fabric ties at the back.

Maker's Mark:
These chairs are unmarked. They were carefully inspected, and no maker's label or signature remains. Residual adhesive on the underside suggests an original label was once present. Attribution to Theodore Alexander is based on the distinctive design, craftsmanship, and construction.

These chairs blend British Colonial, Asian-inspired, and Hollywood Regency design, making them equally at home in a sophisticated living room, sunroom, library, bedroom, or covered veranda.
