Up for sale a vintage Castleton made in the USA dinnerware set for 12 (60 pieces in total) in the … Read more Up for sale a vintage Castleton made in the USA dinnerware set for 12 (60 pieces in total) in the elegant "Tremont" pattern which was made from 1950 to 1962. The Tremont pattern consists of an elaborate border incorporating a pale turquoise blue and heavy gilding. The edges of all the plates are beaded, scalloped and gilded. Within the pale turquoise field there are 3 thin gilded lines and then a thicker gilded line separating the pale turquoise rim from the white area of the plate. Then the plate has another gilded line in the center field of the plate. This Tremont dinnerware service for 12 consists of twelve 10.75" in diameter dinner plates, twelve 8" in diameter luncheon or dessert plates, twelve 6.5" bread and butter plates. twelve 2.25" x 4" cup opening footed tea or coffee cups accompanied by twelve 6" saucers. All pieces are marked on the reverse with the Castleton harp mark, Castleton China, made in the USA and the pattern name. All pieces are in excellent condition with normal signs of age, wear and use. The set has been well cared for for over 50 years. See less
