Produced … Read more Japanese Kyo-Yaki style bowl decorated with lotus leaves, lotus blossoms, and a hovering bird motif beneath a crackle glaze. Produced in Japan during the mid twentieth century, circa 1930–1960, the design reflects decorative themes associated with Kyoto ceramic traditions.

The interior features green lotus foliage, red-orange blossoms, and a blue bird rendered against a pale ground with overall craquelure.
