This is a vintage Italian neoclassical arm chair that is unmarked but strongly attributed to Italian brand Meroni Francesco. The chair came from an estate furnished with many similar Italian neoclassical furniture pieces purchased from that maker.
The arm chair has an exposed wood frame that is painted antique white in a crackle finish with gilt details. The upholstery is a red and gold striped silk. Back and seat cushions are detached and filled with feather down.
The 1990s era chair is in good vintage condition. It is well made and comfortable. Some water staining and other marks on the fabric, especially on the arms. Scuffed painted finish on some corners.
