The piece heavily draws inspiration from traditional ⁠Chiavari Spinetto craftsmanship and ⁠Gio Ponti's mid-century designs, featuring an elongated, tapering 6-slat ladder-back rest made of an ebonized (black lacquered) wood frame and features a woven natural fiber rush/rope seat. These types of minimalist, ultra-light chairs were produced extensively in Italy during the 1950s through the 1970s by manufacturers like Chiavari and Otto Gerdau. It works equally well in a creative studio, or as a standalone accent piece in a gallery or design-focused interior.
