The clock rests on a marble base with ornate ormolu bronze decoration and four bronze feet. The movement is housed in a beautifully sculpted bronze case decorated with garlands, leaves, classical ornamentation, and a globe resting on a book. To the left side of the movement is a charming putto figure, shown making calculations for a journey, adding narrative detail and artistic character to the piece.
The enamel dial is decorated with delicate floral details and Arabic numerals. The dial is protected by a glass door, which opens to wind the clock. The clock has an 8-day movement that strikes every half hour and full hour. It has recently been checked, oiled, and cleaned by a professional clockmaker. The clock is complete and comes with its bell, pendulum, and winding key.
The two matching candelabras are original to the clock set. Each candelabra features a marble base with bronze feet and ormolu bronze decoration. Each one is designed with a seated putto holding two scrolling candle arms, with each branch ending in a candle holder.
