Offered is a set of 31 pieces of vintage (circa late 1970s through the early 1980s) burnished ceramic dinnerware from Tonalá in Jalisco, Mexico and created by Ken Edwards renowned for his studio, El Palomar. The set includes 10 dinner plates, 10 salad/dessert plates, 1 oval serving platter, 6 bowls, and 4 coffee/tea cups. The bird and flower are typical of the region, as are the colors, blue and brown. Each piece is signed with "El Palomar Mexico", his initials, K. E., and the accompanying squiggled insect or snail he rendered on the bottom.
