Elegant pair of late Victorian walnut side chairs featuring beautifully carved crest rails with scrolling foliate motifs and decorative inlaid medallions. The chairs retain their richly figured walnut frames with warm patina and are raised on turned legs terminating in brass casters.
The shaped backs and serpentine seats are upholstered in a French-inspired tapestry fabric with scrolling floral and rocaille motifs, accented by decorative trim. Finely carved aprons and traditional Victorian detailing make these chairs equally suited for use as occasional chairs, bedroom seating, or accent chairs in a traditional or eclectic interior.
