A luminous and beautifully preserved Steuben Gold Aurene Rolled Rim Bowl, shape No. 2687, created during the highly collected Frederick Carder era (1904–1933). This exquisite example of early American art glass showcases the extraordinary iridescence that made Carder’s Aurene one of the most sought‑after decorative arts of the Art Nouveau period.
The surface glows with deep gold luster that shifts into fuchsia and blue highlights as the light moves across the form. The rolled rim silhouette enhances the reflective quality of the Aurene finish, giving the bowl a sculptural presence whether displayed on its own or incorporated into a curated vignette.
The underside is signed: Aureen, Steuben, 2687.
This is a standout piece for collectors of Carder Steuben, American art glass, and Art Nouveau decorative arts, and it presents beautifully in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
