Design & Architectural Details
The chair is crafted from dark, richly grained hardwood (likely walnut), boasting a deep, lustrous grain and a beautifully aged dark patina. It features iconic architectural turned front legs resting on their original period-correct metal casters fitted with original wooden wheels. The sweeping padded arms are supported by beautifully detailed, pierced openwork scroll-carved brackets and miniature turned structural columns.
The seat and channel-tufted backrest are comfortably padded and upholstered in a luxurious, vintage harvest gold brocade textile. The fabric features subtle, scattered floral sprig embroidery and is neatly finished with an elegant cream gimp trim bordering the frame.
