A superb pair of dinner plates in the highly collectible Crescent Pinwheel pattern — and in exceptional condition rarely encountered in pieces of this age. Produced in Staffordshire, England for the American market, these plates display the bold cobalt flow blue border, vivid iron-red floral decoration, and gilded foliate accents at their absolute finest. The glaze retains a wonderful original shine, the color is vibrant, and the gilt remains strong — a testament to nearly two centuries of careful keeping.
No chips, no cracks — simply two beautifully preserved examples of one of the most desirable patterns in the Gaudy Welsh canon.
