Ballerina China was produced by Universal Pottery in the 1940-50s out of Cambridge, OH. They introduced permaculture glaze which was faded-proof. The line was highly popular and graceful, elegant and dishwasher safe, which was all the rage as more homes were buying dishwashers in the 1950s. But the biggest selling point was the mix and match solid colors and florals. These dinner plates feature a fall foliage floral design.
