Vintage 1980s Palm Beach Regency Tessellated Hexagon Capiz Shell Trinket, Jewelry Box With Brass Trim, Styled After Maitland-Smith. An elegant decorative box featuring a lustrous mosaic exterior composed of hexagon ‘tiles’ in varying shades of warm, translucent beige and golden ivory. The lid is hinged with brass fittings. Its refined craftsmanship and natural sheen make it both a functional storage piece and a beautiful accent for a dresser, shelf, or desk.

In good condition considering age and history. In that same vein, the shells themselves vary in color and have inherent dark spots in places as photos show. There is a small chip at the seam of the lid’s face and the top of the box.
