An antique English Regency bracket clock by Frodsham of London, dating to circa 1820. This handsome timepiece is housed in a flame mahogany case with a classic arched top, resting on four turned bun feet. The case is detailed with brass lion's head ring handles and pierced, fabric-backed brass sound frets on both sides. The convex painted dial is set behind a hinged, glazed brass bezel and features black Roman numerals and delicate spade hands. The dial is clearly signed by the maker, 'FRODSHAM. Gracechurch St' above the center arbor and 'LONDON' below. This clock is a fine example of early 19th-century English horology from a renowned maker. A matching shelf is included.
