Italian mid-century modern majolica plate by Alba Docilia Albisola, 1950s
Majolica plate with a monochromatic blue decoration on a white background. The wavy, heavily modeled rim features an elaborate Baroque-style scroll and shell motif. The central scene, a mythological and allegorical subject, depicts classical figures and cherubs in a theatrical composition with marine and symbolic elements.
Produced in 1950s by Alba Docilia of Albisola. Signed on the back.
Good condition, with minor signs of wear and slight chipping on the rim.
