Highly decorated polychrome Delft knob vases by Royal Tichelaar, Friesland, the Netherlands. Bring timeless European charm to your space with this beautiful pair knob vases with an octagonal baluster shaped body made in the 17th century style.
Featuring classic polychrome hand-painted decoration and the distinctive sculptural “knob” design. Handmade tin glazed faience painted in multi colours with an all over decor of cartouches alternating stylized flowers. Signed on the bottom in underglaze blue .
These ceramic vases make an elegant statement whether displayed together or styled separately. A rare and eye-catching duo that adds warmth, artistry, and European heritage to any collection or home décor setting.

Royal Tichelaar employs the traditional majolica technique, applying decoration onto the unfired tin glaze rather than beneath it. During firing, the pigments fuse slightly with the glaze surface, creating the soft, gently blurred outlines that are characteristic of this method.
