A rare horological find in pristine condition. This exquisite Napoleon III-era mantel clock (c. 1870-1890) features a vibrant "Bleu de Roi" porcelain body with hand-painted gold Chinoiserie motifs. The heart of this piece is a high-grade 8-day movement by the celebrated Parisian inventor Eugène Farcot. The mechanism has been disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, and lubricated. The porcelain is flawless, free of chips or cracks. Includes the original winding key and pendulum.
Unique Feature: Original Instructional Label
The rear brass cover retains its exceptionally rare, original bilingual instructional label. It provides authentic 19th-century guidance for the owner:
Placement: Instructions to set the clock "perfectly level" to ensure a rhythmic beat.
Regulation: Guidance on adjusting the pendulum ball higher or lower to calibrate speed.
Provenance: Features the "Breveté S.G.D.G." mark, certifying Farcot’s patented engineering.

Dial: Immaculate enamel ring with a relief-chased gilt center and ornate hands.
Artistry: Elegant "shell" cresting and scrolled gilt-mounts on a footed porcelain base.
Size: Impressive height of approximately 38 cm (15").
