Rare stoneware dinner plate from Podmore, Walker & Co. which was active from 1834-1859. The pattern is Corean Pearl, flow black/mulberry, Circa 1850s. The transferware image is depicting Chinoiserie scenes with temples, pagodas and foliage including palm trees. Te color is often referred to as "flow black" or "Mulberry" indicating a blackish-purple hue on ecru background. The material is typically ironstone, a type of durable earthenware.
This fabulous antique plate is a rare find and in excellent condition for the age, no chips.
