Offered for sale is a rare collection of 43 unique and individual pieces of hand-crafted, wonderfully abstract-designed dinnerware created by Patrick Loughran. The set is created in a kidney shape and each plate and cup and saucer is unique in color and design. Each was signed and dated by the ceramicist. Every piece is signed and dated.

12 dinner plates (12”x 8.75”x.75”)
11 dessert/salad plates (9.5”x6.5”x.75”))
10 teacups and 10 saucers (cups: 3”t x 4”w; saucers 7”w x 5” d x 1” t)

One cup-and-saucer set has been repaired, as shown in the last photos.

Patrick Loughran (1948-) is an American ceramic artist known for his innovative, sculptural approach to the medium. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Columbia University in 1970, followed by a Master of Arts in sculpture and crafts from Teachers College in 1975.

Loughran taught ceramics at institutions across the United States, including in New York, Chicago, and New Mexico, before moving to Paris in 1991. Since then, he has become a leading figure in the French ceramics community. His work is featured in several prestigious museum collections and is held by private collectors as well.
