From the square headed screws to stamped markings it’s likely English or American made. The tall skinny back and rich dark oak finish give this piece a dramatic English manor aesthetic while remaining versatile enough for modern interiors. The back panel showcases carved foliate detailing framed by Gothic-inspired arches and finials. Beautiful wood grain is visible throughout the seat and frame, with warm age-related patina adding character and authenticity. The chair does have some scratching, areas of heavy gel stain pooling and a separated seam in the seat. The casters were added later and there is a makers mark stamped on the bottom. See less
